ITSY 1300 - Fund. of Information Security

 ITSY 1300 LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

 Students are expected to have completed the required reading
 assignments as detailed below prior to the first class meeting
 wherein the material will be discussed. Specific dates are given
 in the class calendar.  As an integral part of the grade for the
 section, each student will participate in a research project.
 Students will present their projects to the class, take questions,
 and lead the discussion of their chosen research topic.

 ITSY 1300 is a "2-4-3" class. This means the course consists of
 two lecture hours and four laboratory hours per week over the
 normal sixteen week semester and that the student receives
 three college credits for passing the course. This is a general
 time division and will not necessarily run by a stopwatch.
 Students should note that lab attendance is required.

 Project guidelines:  Each project paper will contain a summary
 of the material in the text relating to a specific security topic
 and will be enhanced by material from your research. Each
 presentation should include at least three discussion questions
 for the class.   Optional: Although the papers should generally
 adopt a formal scholastic writing tone, there is room for the
 author's personal experience and evaluation of the material.
